Hey friends,
Last year on October 1, 2022 one of my older brothers Anton passed away unexpectedly. His death truly impacted me in ways that I still do not have the words to express. Thankfully, I have a grief counselor who is assisting me alongside Holy Spirit with unpacking and unraveling my emotions in a healthy manner regarding this. Which is why I have decided that it is time for me to start blogging again because like I have always expressed in previous blogs, writing helps me process and navigate through many things.
This blog will not be about grief nor the death of my brother though. I honestly do not know when I will be comfortable writing about it publicly, but when I do – just know I will be sharing EVERYTHING with you all.
On monday, May 29, 2023 Holy Spirit woke me up to this sweet utterance singing in my ear. He was saying “There’s going to be a refreshing, a renewing, and liberation for you. God is doing it for you. It is going to happen for you.” As I arose, I felt so much joy and liberation light my soul up. Truly, it was refreshing to experience, and that is what I will be blogging about.
A Writer’s Heart Blog will simply focus on me writing what I believe is on the Father’s heart concerning myself and His people. I also will share mini short stories regarding incidents and situations that happened in my life with the intent to share my learned lessons and not to gossip. I have learned that wisdom is gained from experience, so I believe sharing the experience alongside the wisdom that was gained creates a tranformative and transparent space. According to the google dictionary, the word renewal is defined as being “an instance of resuming an activity or state after an interruption,” and “the replacing or repair of something that is worn out, run-down, or broken.” The word refresh means to “give new strength or energy to; reinvigorate.” Lastly, the word liberation means “the act of setting someone free from imprisonment, slavery, or oppression; release,” and “freedom from limits on thought or behavior.”
I love the definitions of these words because they provide clarity as to what God may be saying to one personally. However, what I heard the Lord say regarding these three words last week was that in this next phase of your life, as you move forward (letting go of the offense, dissappointment, false guilt, moments of failure, grief, ending of friendships or relationships, things you cannot change etc.,) – your mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health will not be affected by your circumstances. God is going to give you the ability and strength to let whatever you have been holding onto go, and as you let it go, you are going to experience a renewing in your mind, a refreshing in your soul, and liberation in your life.
A reminder for you today is that you cannot live up to anyone’s unrealistic expectations and the reality of that is you are not purposed to do so either. Choose to live out God’s will over your life, and not man’s expectations because God is the one who created you. He formed you. Release yourself from any condeming emotions that you may be experiencing due to mistakes, mishapps, or anything of that sort, and recieve your renewing, refreshing, and liberation today.
I leave you with this scripture from Isaiah 43:1-2 NASB202- which says, “But now this is what the Lord says, He who is your Creator, Jacob, And He who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine! “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you.”
